Ground Floor

Digital skill is the price of admission to work.

We run free workshops for people locked out of this work, taught by practitioners and funded by sponsors.

One sponsor covers one cohort: twelve seats and fifteen to eighteen hours of live instruction, taught free.

Four audiences are shut out of this work: newcomers, the underemployed, seniors new to tech, and youth on their first job search.

It is not a nice to have. It is already the floor.

Applying for a job, booking a doctor, filing a form and getting paid all assume a level of digital skill that nobody ever sat down and taught you. Without it the door closes before the interview.

Four audiences. One open door.

Newcomers to Canada

Underemployed and returning to work

Seniors and adults new to tech

Youth and first-job seekers

There are four tiers in the pathway, from a first day on a work computer to reading a dashboard and using AI tools honestly.

Four tiers, one ladder to work.

The Digital Ready pathway. A learner can start at any tier and stop when the door they needed is open.

Foundations

A first day on a work computer. Files, passwords, getting online safely.

Everyday Digital

Email, documents, forms, appointments, and staying safe doing it.

Workplace Ready

Spreadsheets, shared drives, meetings, and the tools a job assumes you know.

Digital Edge, AI and data

Reading a dashboard, using AI tools honestly, and knowing what the numbers say.

Sponsoring a cohort, hosting a room and volunteering to teach are three ways to keep a seat free, each with its own planning figure.

Sponsor a cohort. Keep a seat free.

Your funding covers the instructor, the materials and the certificates. Your name goes on the cohort page and the certificate, and you get a short impact report: who attended, what they built, and what they can now do. For companies this is a real home for community-impact and corporate-responsibility budgets.

These are our current planning figures and may shift as real per-cohort costs settle. Every placement reads sponsor, supporter or partner. We are funding the first cohorts ourselves, and we are not government-funded or endorsed.

Delivery is the risk. Delivery is what we do.

We teach for a living, so the teaching is not a side project. The curriculum already exists, the instructors are practitioners rather than lecturers, and it is built for Canada. Sessions run hybrid, hands-on and multilingual, with a partner in the room.
